FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON OUR PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES
What’s your primary style? Posed and formal, relaxed, photojournalistic, creative, artistic, candid, traditional?
Our style is all of those! Whatever you want we can do. Two photographers - one doing the formal shots whilst the other is busy taking the candid, artistic, creative and photojournalistic shots.
Do you shoot in colour or black and white? Or both? Do you shoot in a digital format that can create both colour and b/w versions of the same picture?
We shoot in digital format so that we can create both colour and b/w versions of the same picture. We also do colour popping i.e. a black and white photo of the bride and groom with maybe the bride's bouquet and the groom's cravat coloured.
What kind of input can we have on the direction of the shots? Can we give you a shot list to work from?
We can work with a shot list. We don't want to miss any photos that are important to you. We may ask you to nominate one of your ushers who knows everyone to help us ensue that we don't miss anyone out. All we ask is if you do plan a lot of formal posed shots please allow a little more time in your schedule.
What type of equipment will you be using? Will the lighting be intrusive?
We both use Nikon digital cameras and Metz flashguns with diffusers (to soften the flash). We do not use any other lighting (apart from the Reception Studio) as we believe that your wedding is your special day and not a paparazzi photo shoot! We usually use our tripods.
Are you the wedding photographer who will actually take our pictures? If not, can we meet the person who will be?
You will always meet at least one of us before your wedding. One of us will also try and attend your wedding rehearsal if possible so that we can get to know you both.
Is my wedding the only one you will be shooting that day?
Absolutely! We will be with you for the entire day.
How long has the photographer been shooting weddings?
We both started shooting weddings in the late seventies. In those days it was rolls of film and hours spent in the darkroom. These days we take so much more pictures thanks to digital technology and then spend hours on the computer!
Can we print pictures from the CD?
You can print as many prints as you like from the CD. The copyright of the CD remains with us but the CD is yours to do with as you please for your own private use. We provide you with high resolution photographs on the CD.
How will our guests view the photos?
We will have a gallery page for your very best photos. Proof albums are also available for a small additional charge
Will my guests be able to buy prints direct from you?
Yes, on your special web page will be details and prices of prints and gifts. This will take a lot of pressure off you as they can order direct from us at very competitive prices.
When will I see my pictures?
Our objective is to have your images ready for viewing by the time you return from Honeymoon (10-14 days). If you have online access you will most likely be able to start looking at the photographs when you are still on honeymoon. Special editing takes a little longer - between four to six weeks.
